In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and installing metal building components efficiently and safely, ensuring the integrity and longevity of each project. Responsibilities
- Erect and assemble metal building frameworks using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Interpret construction plans and schematics to accurately position structural components
- Install rebar, metal studs, siding, roofing, and other building materials with precision
- Operate heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely to lift and position large components
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing tasks as needed for foundational work
- Conduct framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, and masonry work to ensure building quality
- Follow safety protocols diligently while managing heavy lifting tasks and working at heights on scaffolding or ladders
Qualifications
- Proven experience in metal building erection or related construction trades with a strong understanding of construction site procedures
- Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete forming, masonry techniques, roofing systems, siding installation, and framing methods
- Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for precise assembly
- Experience with carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry and frame carpentry is highly desirable
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work in various weather conditions
- Strong safety awareness with adherence to OSHA standards or local safety regulations
