## Job Summary
Growing, local infrastructure construction company seeks an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator for this position will be responsible for:
-preparing bid documents
-attending pre-bid meetings
-analyzing construction documents, specifications, and other data to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects,
-coordinating delivery of bids
-attending handoff meetings with project manager to explain scope of bid
-coordinating attendance of bid related meetings and onsite job meetings
-reading and reviewing blueprints & specifications of a project
-interacting with owners and government agencies
-soliciting and negotiating pricing on services and materials from vendors and subcontractors
## Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam and Microsoft Projects to assist in estimating processes
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase
- Review and compare subcontractor and supplier bids
## Requirements
- Proven experience in civil infrastructure construction estimating and project management
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in using estimating software like Bluebeam and Microsoft Projects, and other computer programs such as Microsoft Word & Excel
- Excellent analytical, statistical and mathematical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of cost control methods in construction projects
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Construction Management, Civil Engineer or related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute education requirements.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
