Texas Boombox is Fort Bliss’s leading vehicle upgrade shop, specializing in high-quality car audio, lighting, window tinting, wraps, and paint protection film. We're growing fast and looking for a skilled installer who can handle vehicle and flat-glass film installs — and support the sales floor when needed.
Role Overview
This role is focused on installing window tint, paint protection film (PPF), vehicle wraps, and vinyl decals for automotive, residential, and commercial clients. When not performing installs, this team member will assist with in-store sales by helping customers choose the right products or upgrades.
Key ResponsibilitiesFilm & Wrap Installation
- Install automotive window tint, full and partial coverage
- Apply paint protection film (PPF) to hoods, bumpers, mirrors, and full-body panels
- Perform vinyl wraps (full color change, accents, or branding)
- Handle custom decals, striping, logos, or graphics
- Ensure clean, defect-free installations with attention to detail
Residential & Commercial Tint (On Request)
- Install tint on home windows, glass doors, and storefronts
- Perform accurate measuring, cutting, and application for flat-glass projects
- Represent the company professionally in off-site locations
Sales Floor Support (When Not Installing)
- Assist walk-in customers with questions about tint, wraps, or protection film
- Help explain product benefits and support sales team during busy periods
- Keep a clean, organized customer area and contribute to positive customer experiences
Shop Operations & Teamwork
- Follow Fort Bliss base access and closing/opening protocols
- Maintain workspace cleanliness and tool care
- Step in to support teammates or installers as needed during downtime
- Demonstrate a team-first attitude and contribute to a smooth daily workflow
Requirements
- Experience with automotive window tint, vinyl wraps, or PPF installs
- Comfortable working on both vehicles and flat glass (residential/commercial)
- High attention to detail and quality
- Willingness to assist with in-store sales and customer interactions
- Must be punctual, self-managed, and respectful of shop flow and rules
- Eligible to work on base at Fort Bliss (background/security clearance required)
Preferred (Not Required)
- Familiarity with brands like 3M, XPEL, Avery Dennison, Llumar
- Experience with plotters, heat guns, Knifeless Tape, etc.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Prior retail or customer service experience
