Memestic Express LLC is seeking experienced Non-CDL OTR Box Truck Driver Join our dynamic team as a Non CDL OTR Box Truck Driver to join our team as an independent contractor.
We operate a 26-foot box truck and run freight across the United States. While we recommend drivers to stay out for a couple of weeks at a time, as an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to decide how long you stay on the road and when you return home. You will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods across multiple locations, ensuring timely and efficient service. Your expertise in commercial driving, manual handling, and customer service will help us uphold our commitment to excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be on the move, delivering essential products while maintaining the highest safety standards and adhering to DOT regulations.
Duties
- Safely operate a non-CDL box truck for over-the-road (OTR) deliveries across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Ensure proper securing of loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and safety protocols at all times
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate effectively using mobile devices to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or update routes
- Load, transport, and deliver goods directly to customer locations or warehouses with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with warehouse operations including material handling and moving items within storage areas when needed
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally during deliveries
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on box truck operations and route driving
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, manual handling practices, and heavy lifting safety procedures
- Familiarity with commercial truck driving regulations, including adherence to DOT standards and weight handling in the workplace
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely
- Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and manual handling tools
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently using mobile devices or GPS technology
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, moving goods, and safe lifting practices throughout shifts
Requirements
- Proof of identity and authorization to work and drive in the US
- USDOT medical card
- Must be over 25 yrs of age
- Clean MVR (3 years preferably)
- Experience operation Electronic Logging Devices
Pay: $700.00 - $1,500.00 per week
Work Location: On the road
