Overview
Join our dynamic behavioral health team as an In Network Behavioral Health Therapist (LPC), where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of diverse populations. MUST be credentialed with insurances outside of Medicaid-fee-for services.
Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability during urgent situations.
- Deliver specialized services including PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations; ensure accurate medical terminology usage and proper CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans; coordinate patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
- Utilize telehealth technology effectively to expand access to mental health services while adhering to clinical standards and confidentiality protocols.
Experience
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential required; additional certifications in clinical counseling or social work preferred.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, crisis management, and working with children or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems; familiarity with CPT coding for billing is advantageous.
- Strong background in working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, chronic pain management, or special education environments.
- Experience delivering telehealth services utilizing HIPAA-compliant platforms; familiarity with medical records management is essential.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles relevant to behavioral health treatment plans; experience in hospital or clinic settings is highly valued.
