Objective
The Contracts and Risk is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, coordinating, and administering construction-related contracts to ensure compliance with company standards and minimize organizational risk. This role serves as a key point of contact for contract review and execution, working closely with executive leadership, project managers, operations personnel, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and legal counsel.
The Contracts and Risk Manager will manage the contract lifecycle from receipt through execution, identify contractual risks and concerns, coordinate revisions, maintain contract records, and support the company's overall risk management and compliance efforts.

Essential duties and responsibilities
· Review owner, customer, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier contracts for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
· Analyze contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks, obligations, liability exposures, and compliance concerns.
· Prepare contract summaries and communicate key contractual requirements to stakeholders.
· Coordinate contract revisions, redlines, and approval workflows with internal and external parties.
· Partner with executive leadership to escalate and resolve contractual issues requiring business or legal review.
· Assist in the development and maintenance of standard contract templates, contract language, and review procedures.
· Identify provisions related to indemnification, insurance requirements, warranties, payment terms, dispute resolution, liquidated damages, and other areas of contractual risk.
· Coordinate with insurance providers, brokers, and legal counsel to ensure contractual compliance when necessary.
· Support contractor and vendor prequalification processes by coordinating documentation, gathering required information, managing submissions, and maintaining qualification records.
· Monitor contractual obligations and support compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
· Maintain awareness of industry best practices related to construction contracts and risk management.
· Track contract status, approvals, execution dates, amendments, renewals, and closeout requirements.
· Ensure fully executed agreements are properly distributed and archived.
· Maintain contract logs and reporting tools to support project teams and leadership.
· Evaluate and improve contract administration processes, workflows, and documentation standards.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
· Strong understanding of contract terminology, contract administration practices, and risk management principles.
· Familiarity with insurance requirements, bonding, and contractual risk allocation.
· Ability to read, interpret, and summarize complex contractual documents.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and contract management software.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Work environment considerations
· Must be able to work in high-pressure situations facing strict deadlines. Extended shifts may be necessary, and hours will often exceed 40 per week to perform duties effectively

Qualifications and education requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Legal Studies, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
· 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, construction administration, project administration, legal support, risk management, or a related field.
· Experience reviewing and managing construction contracts, subcontract agreements, and vendor agreements preferred.
· Experience working within the construction, engineering, manufacturing, or professional services industry preferred.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
