Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, desserts, small bites ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing any questions or special requests with enthusiasm.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle cash and card transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and processing cash transactions smoothly.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the team in delivering fresh food items promptly.
- Support beverage service and drink presentation to enhance the customer experience while managing time effectively during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or café experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
