Position Overview
The Unit Renovation Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and tracking of interior unit renovation projects across a multifamily portfolio. This role combines project coordination responsibilities with analytical and administrative functions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with asset strategy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across construction, asset management, and operations teams.
Coordinate day-to-day execution of unit renovation projects across multiple properties
Track unit turns, renovation schedules, and project milestones. Identify efficiencies and ensure budgets are met.
Work with property management, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely unit access and completion
Assist in developing scopes of work and standardized renovation packages
Monitor project timelines and proactively identify delays or risks
Conduct or assist with unit walks, punch lists, and quality control inspections
Maintain consistent communication with on-site teams and stakeholders
Budgeting & Cost Tracking
Track renovation budgets at the unit, property, and portfolio level
Review invoices and ensure alignment with approved scopes and budgets
Assist in identifying cost overruns and variance explanations
Support bid leveling and vendor comparison processes
Maintain cost databases for materials, labor, and completed renovations
Data Analysis & Reporting
Maintain and update renovation tracking reports and dashboards
Analyze renovation performance, including:
Cost per unit
Turn times
ROI / rent premium capture
Support asset management team with reporting on renovation progress and KPIs
Identify trends and recommend process improvements based on data
Organize and maintain project documentation, contracts, and scopes
Assist with vendor onboarding and compliance (insurance, W9s, etc.)
Prepare weekly/monthly renovation status reports
Support internal team coordination across construction, asset management, and property operations
Ensure data integrity across project tracking systems (Excel, Yardi, Banner, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Real Estate, Finance, or related field preferred
2–5 years of experience in construction coordination, multifamily renovations, or similar role
Strong proficiency in Excel (required); experience with project tracking tools a plus.
Familiarity with multifamily operations and unit turn processes preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication and problem-solving abilities
Experience with renovation or capital improvement projects
Basic understanding of construction scopes, pricing, and sequencing
Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis
Experience with property management or construction software (e.g., Yardi, Procore, Banner)

Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000 target range.
