Shoku House is a modern Japanese café experience built around thoughtful hospitality, elevated food, and intentional service.
Inspired by Japanese café culture, our menu features ceremonial-grade matcha, fluffy Japanese soufflé-style pancakes, handcrafted breakfast and lunch offerings, fresh sandos, and carefully considered presentation in every detail.
We’re looking for hospitality-minded people who enjoy precision, presentation, and genuine guest interaction.
This position is about much more than taking orders and delivering food.
Every guest who walks through our doors should feel welcomed, cared for, and guided through an experience. We want team members who can confidently explain our offerings, anticipate guest needs, and create memorable moments throughout each visit.
If you’ve worked in restaurants, cafés, hotels, coffee shops, or other hospitality environments where service truly matters, we’d love to meet you.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in restaurants, cafés, hotels, coffee shops, or hospitality-focused environments
- Comfortable working for tipped wages
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Ability to learn menu details and confidently educate guests
- Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Interest in Japanese food, culture, and hospitality
Responsibilities:
- Guide guests through the Shoku House experience
- Take orders accurately and efficiently
- Explain menu items, ingredients, and beverage offerings
- Deliver food and beverages with attention to presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room
- Support fellow team members during busy service periods
- Create positive guest interactions that encourage repeat visits
- Learn and uphold Shoku House service standards
