Duties
- Safely operate and navigate the food truck to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Prepare and assemble menu items efficiently using established recipes and food safety standards
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, payments, and cash handling
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling products to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the truck’s kitchen area, utensils, and serving stations in compliance with health regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and balance cash register at the end of each shift
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping ingredients or assembling dishes when needed to ensure quick service turnaround
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or working in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple orders during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory checks
- Experience in culinary roles or restaurant settings is highly preferred; retail or grocery store experience is a plus
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
