Front-End Loader Operator – Carthage, MO
Job Description
Blevins Asphalt Construction Co., Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Loader Operator to help keep our plant working at a proficient rate while operating in a safe and appropriate manner. This person will be responsible for putting aggregates into the feeder bins, stacking rock piles, and moving material around the plant yard. Other responsibilities include keeping up with the service maintenance, small repairs, and cleaning of the loader.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This candidate will be required to work at our Carthage and Springfield asphalt plants at various times throughout the year.
- Must always operate the front-end loader in a safe and efficient manner.
- Responsible for transporting aggerates and other asphalt materials from stockpiles to feeder bins that supply the plant.
- Ensure the asphalt feeder bins never run empty during times of production.
- Perform daily checks and maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, checking fluid levels, fueling, and cleaning.
- Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of materials meets established standards.
- Ensure all established performance indicators are met.
- Constantly work towards improving the asphalt plant and entire surrounding plant property.
- Follow established environmental procedures to ensure that the plant is in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.
- Participate in ongoing maintenance and inspections of the plant and equipment.
- Work with plant manager, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and recommend solutions to improve performance.
- May haul additives from storage area in bulk or bags.
- Always adhere to all Blevins Asphalt and OSHA rules and regulations, and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation (required)
- 1+ year experience as a heavy equipment operator (preferred)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check (required)
- Mechanically inclined (preferred)
- Aggregate knowledge (preferred)
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, day shift
- Nights and weekends as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
