CNA/LPN – Pediatric Home Care & Respite Care (Autism)
Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: 3 evenings per week | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Looking for a flexible part-time opportunity that fits your schedule? Join our team providing compassionate, one-on-one pediatric care. We are seeking a dependable and caring CNA or LPN to support a 6-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the comfort of the family's home.
The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric home care, respite care, or working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. This position provides one-on-one support focused on safety, daily activities, and promoting a positive care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and ensure the child's safety at all times.
- Assist with personal care as needed.
- Engage the child in age-appropriate activities.
- Redirect behaviors using positive behavior support techniques.
- Provide close supervision to ensure the child's safety during daily activities, including monitoring for safety concerns related to elopement (running), climbing, and other behaviors that may require redirection and support.
- Communicate with the family regarding the child's care.
Qualifications
- Current CNA or LPN license/certification.
- Experience working with children, preferably those with autism or special needs.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Client Information
- 6-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 3)
- Minimally verbal
- Receiving ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapy
- High-energy child requiring close supervision
Schedule
- Flexible part-time schedule
- Currently seeking coverage for 3 evenings per week
- Hours: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Additional hours may become available based on client needs and approved services
Pay
Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
