Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and attentive Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable dining experiences through excellent customer service and attention to detail. Your role is essential in ensuring guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and satisfied from the moment they arrive until their departure. The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, and passionate about food and hospitality, with a knack for multitasking in a lively environment. We server food till at least 1am every night, we have a server tip pool and pay closing shifts $5 an hour
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu offerings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage guest needs throughout their visit by checking in regularly, addressing concerns, and providing personalized service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems like OpenTable or other POS platforms, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests while maintaining cleanliness standards in dining areas.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.
- Support host/host duties when needed, managing reservations and guest flow seamlessly during peak hours.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is highly desirable; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; familiarity with OpenTable is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with an approachable attitude that makes guests feel valued.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management.
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue.
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be advantageous for better understanding of food preparation processes.
