We're a residential custom carpentry contractor looking to add an experienced carpenter to our small team. Presently, we're flexible on part time or full time.
Please note: this is not a subcontractor or W9 position.
Our work includes a mix of on-site and shop-based projects. Most of our clients are located in lower Montco, with some work extending into the Main Line, eastern Chester County, and lower Bucks, including New Hope and Doylestown. No Philly work aside from very occasional work in Chestnut Hill/Germantown neighborhoods. You're responsible for your own transportation to and from job locations and the shop.
In our shop, we utilize stationary woodworking machinery and spray finishing equipment. Prior experience in cabinetry or custom built-in fabrication and finishing is a plus.
Looking for someone who has 8-10 years of hands-on experience in residential construction and remodeling, and you're able to work independently or with a small team after being given a scope of work.
We specialize in interior general contracting, focusing on:
-Kitchen and bathroom remodels
-Custom cabinetry and built-in fabrication
-Interior trim and millwork
-Occasional exterior projects like decks, door and window installations, and select exterior renovations
Our work also frequently includes framing, drywall repair (kitchen and bathroom patchwork - nothing large), flooring, and tilesetting. We handle minimal demolition but it is part of the rotation. We often take on unique, custom projects — stair remodels, table and door fabrication, etc — so attention to detail and craftsmanship is a must. We’re not a production framing outfit — precision matters here.
New hires start with a probationary period at a slightly reduced rate so we can get a sense of your capabilities — after that, your rate will be increased.
We offer:
-Health insurance options after 3 months (full-time position)
-Paid time off after 1 year (full-time position)
-Select paid holidays
- very flexible unpaid time off policy and no yelling!
-company apparel
Requirements:
-Your own hand tools, tool belt/apron, and drill/driver kit
-Reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license
-No substance abuse issues
-A clean, professional appearance
-The ability to work independently after receiving clear direction
-A team-first mindset and willingness to collaborate with other trades
-Ability to confidently and politely interact with clients
-Safe and proficient skills with tools like table saws, miter saws, and hand tools
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on your hands and knees, and use ladders/scaffolding
If you're looking to enjoy what you do and work on meaningful, well-crafted projects, we’d love to hear from you. Please send a brief resume or email outlining your experience, along with your contact information.
