Bi-Lingual Warehouse Associate and Back-up driver.
VALID DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED!
This role requires consistent and reliable attendance to effectively perform essential job duties and support team operations.
This position is a hands-on position that requires you to work in the warehouse loading/unloading trucks and some delivery / unloading of product. This is not just a driving position!
Experience in driving commercial vehicles. “Box Truck” preferred. Must have experience in warehouse loading and unloading trucks, working with materials and inventory.
- Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assist in pre-staging jobs.
- Helps maintain a clean warehouse and keeps it in order.
- Helps with inventory.
- Assist with customers.
- Load and unload trucks; deliver products. Glazing doors (cutting doors to install glass and springs)
- Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Medical certification is mandatory for delivery in compliance with state laws.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Basic math skills including the ability to measure and use cutting tools.
- Bilingual required. (English / Spanish) Speaking, reading and writing.
- Go getter, must be able to work with customers and teammates.
- Ability to work without constant supervision.
Additional Notes
- Stable and verifiable work history
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, move quickly, load trucks and be able to comprehend stacking and safe loading of many types of vehicles. This is a physical job in a warehouse environment. Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs and up to 70 lbs occasionally assisted. There will be exposure to the heat and cold as the seasons change.
Working Conditions:
- Mobility: Maintain a stationary position which may include Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, reaching. Perform repetitive tasks using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Lifting: Safely lift materials up to 25 lbs. unassisted. Heavier loads with additional assistance.
- Work Environment: Work safely near moving mechanical parts. Regularly work in an environment where the noise level is moderately loud. Ear protection may be required.
- Weather Exposure: Regularly work in various weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
