Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. Duties
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, and other specialized welding techniques to join metal parts according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute fabrication tasks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and measuring devices to prepare materials for welding, cutting, bending, and assembly.
- Execute pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and rigging operations for plumbing, HVAC systems, pipelines, and fire sprinkler fitting projects.
- Maintain compliance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards during fabrication processes.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers and schematics to ensure precision in welded components.
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in maintenance tasks such as equipment inspection, minor repairs, and routine cleaning of tools and work areas.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding within manufacturing or construction environments, with a strong understanding of MIG, FCAW, TIG welding processes.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation related to metal fabrication.
- Hands-on experience with pipe threading, tube bending, rigging, and assembly of mechanical systems such as plumbing or HVAC units.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to pipeline construction or pressure vessel fabrication is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and schematics effectively.
- Construction site experience preferred for projects involving structural steel or fire sprinkler fitting installations.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
