About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic periodontal team. The ideal candidate is passionate about periodontal health, patient education, and delivering top-tier clinical care. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments, including charting, probing, and evaluating signs of periodontal disease.
- Provide expert dental hygiene services, including scaling, root planing, and maintenance therapy utilizing advanced techniques and technology.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and post-treatment care to support their long-term periodontal health.
- Collaborate with the periodontist and dental team to develop and execute individualized treatment plans for patients with periodontal disease.
- Take and interpret digital radiographs (X-rays) to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain detailed, compliant patient records in accordance with industry regulations.
- Foster a warm, welcoming, and professional environment to ensure an outstanding patient experience.
- Stay at the forefront of periodontal advancements, continuously expanding your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Licensed Dental Hygienist (California) with experience in periodontal or high-volume dental settings preferred.
- Expertise in scaling and root planing techniques, including proficiency with ultrasonic instrumentation.
- Strong knowledge of periodontal disease management, treatment protocols, and patient education strategies.
- Experience with treatment planning, insurance coordination, and patient communication is a plus.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Open Dental experience is a bonus).
- Outstanding customer service skills, excellent phone etiquette, and a professional, friendly demeanor.
