Duties
- Conduct outside sales activities by reaching out to prospective clients through various channels, including telemarketing and community networking events
- Identify customer needs through active listening and analysis skills, then recommend appropriate life insurance products and coverage options
- Negotiate policy terms and premiums with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements
- Manage sales administration tasks such as maintaining client records, processing applications, and tracking follow-ups using CRM systems
- Stay informed about industry trends, insurance regulations, and product updates to effectively educate clients and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies that attract new customers and promote insurance products
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions, explaining policy details clearly, and assisting with benefits administration when needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities in multiple languages; bilingual proficiency is highly valued
- Knowledge of insurance products including commercial insurance, health insurance, property casualty insurance, and HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with sales administration tools and analysis skills to interpret market data and client needs effectively
- Understanding of insurance regulation standards to ensure compliant sales practices
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a customer-focused approach
- Additional skills such as marketing expertise, benefits administration knowledge, and customer service experience will enhance your success in this role
