Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures and interactive discussions on topics related to humanities, psychology, social work, and adult education.
- Develop, update, and refine curriculum materials aligned with academic standards and learner needs.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or similar platforms to facilitate online learning modules, assessments, and resource sharing.
- Incorporate research findings, social science theories, and practical applications into course content to enhance student understanding.
- Design assessments that accurately measure student progress while fostering critical thinking and creative writing skills.
- Stay current with developments in higher education teaching methodologies, learning technology tools, and subject-specific research to continually improve instructional quality.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience teaching humanities or psychology at the university or adult education level.
- Strong background in curriculum development with familiarity in integrating learning technology platforms such as Blackboard or other LMS tools.
- Experience working with diverse student populations in higher education settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a talent for clear writing, active listening, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
