Lab Technician
Location: Brecksville, OH
Pay Rate: $18.54/hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join a growing laboratory team. This role is responsible for preparing samples, conducting routine laboratory testing, documenting results, and supporting quality control activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples, materials, and test panels for laboratory evaluations.
- Perform routine laboratory testing according to established procedures.
- Accurately record and document testing results.
- Operate laboratory equipment and instruments safely and efficiently.
- Assist with product evaluations, quality testing, and data collection.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and company policies.
- Clean, organize, and maintain laboratory work areas and equipment.
- Label, store, and dispose of materials according to established guidelines.
- Communicate test results and observations with laboratory personnel.
- Support additional laboratory projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or another science-related field preferred.
- Previous laboratory, manufacturing, quality control, or testing experience is preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
