Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 per year
Reports to: Director of Plant Operations

We are looking for a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production across all areas of the plant.
Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for leading and managing daily production activities in a food manufacturing environment. This role oversees production supervisors and up to 100 employees, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, quality, and cost targets are consistently met.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving performance, developing teams, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations including raw material preparation, processing, and packaging
- Ensure production schedules and output targets are met consistently
- Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and frontline employees
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety standards
- Ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP, and all food safety regulations
- Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain product quality and compliance standards
- Monitor staffing levels, performance, and employee development needs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
- Assist with product launches and commercialization efforts with the R&D team
- Serve as a key member of the HACCP and food safety program team
- Provide backup support to QA Supervisors and Plant Operations leadership as needed
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals are met
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or production plant operations
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GMP and HACCP food safety standards
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours based on production needs
Preferred
- Experience with cook/chill or kettle cook processes
- Experience in SQF Level 3 facilities
- Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Experience working with regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA, OSHA, etc.)
- Demonstrated track record of improving safety, quality, and operational performance
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 9-hour shifts
- Weekends as needed based on production demand

- Food manufacturing facility

- Exposure to machinery, refrigeration, noise, and varying temperatures
- Requires hands-on presence on the production floor
