Job Title: Store Associate
Job Summary: As a UltimateSpiceGaming Employee, you will be responsible for assisting customers and managing the day-to-day operations of a collectible store. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional customer service, contribute to sales growth, and maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store environment. You will engage with collectors, enthusiasts, and individuals seeking unique and rare items, sharing your knowledge and passion for collectibles to create memorable experiences for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Assistance: Greet customers warmly, understand their needs, and provide knowledgeable assistance regarding collectibles, including identification, pricing, and historical significance. Offer recommendations and help customers find specific items or categories based on their interests.
Sales and Promotion: Actively engage with customers to promote sales and generate revenue. Utilize product knowledge to upsell and cross-sell related items. Stay up-to-date on the latest collectible trends and identify opportunities to attract new customers through promotions, events, and social media.
Inventory Management: Receive, organize, and manage incoming inventory. Inspect items for quality, accuracy, and authenticity. Ensure proper pricing, tagging, and categorization of merchandise. Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and collaborate with management to optimize stock rotation.
Visual Merchandising: Create appealing product displays that showcase collectibles and attract customer attention. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually stimulating store environment. Regularly update displays to highlight new arrivals and seasonal items.
Knowledge Sharing: Continuously expand your knowledge of collectibles, including their history, rarity, and value. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging markets, and popular items. Share this knowledge with customers and colleagues, fostering an environment of learning and enthusiasm.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing personalized service, follow-up on inquiries, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Cultivate a loyal customer base through exceptional service and a genuine passion for collectibles.
Point of Sale Operations: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the store's point of sale system. Handle cash, credit, and digital payment methods while maintaining the highest level of integrity and security. Maintain records of sales, inventory, and customer interactions.
Store Operations: Assist in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, security checks, and maintaining a safe working environment. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the store is adequately staffed, and duties are assigned effectively. Contribute to general store maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework preferred).
- Passion for and knowledge of collectibles, including various categories such as Funko Pops, sports memorabilia, toys, trading cards, and more.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Attention to detail and the ability to assess the quality, condition, and authenticity of collectible items.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Organizational skills to manage inventory, maintain a visually appealing store, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment.
