Marosa School of Phlebotomy & Healthcare Trades is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Career Services Representative to assist current students and graduates in obtaining employment within the healthcare field.The Career Services Representative serves as the primary point of contact for employment assistance by providing resume development, job-search guidance, interview preparation, employer outreach, career coaching, and employment tracking. This individual will also represent the school at career fairs, networking events, and community outreach opportunities.
- Essential Responsibilities.
- Meet individually with students and graduates seeking employment assistance
- . Develop, edit, and maintain professional resumes and cover letters.
- Assist students with online job applications.
- Conduct mock interviews and interview preparation sessions.
- Provide career coaching and employment guidance.
- Create professional email accounts for students when appropriate.
- Maintain employment tracking systems using Google Workspace.
- Follow up with employers regarding applications and hiring outcomes.
- Research and post employment opportunities.
- Represent the school at career fairs and networking events.
- Maintain confidential student records.
- Organize digital files and documentation.
- Complete additional Career Services duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree required (Bachelor's degree accepted).
- Minimum of two years of experience in Career Services, Workforce Development, Human Resources, Student Services, Recruiting, Employment Services, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Reliable transportation and professional demeanor.
Required hours
- Must be available Monday and Wednesday between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, and Tuesday and Thursday between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm
Healthcare Knowledge (Required)
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA standards.
- Familiarity with healthcare workflows and clinical environments.
- Knowledge of healthcare hiring practices.
- Ability to understand and explain clinical job duties and certifications.
- Familiarity with Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, EKG, Patient Care Technician, and/or Medical Billing & Coding programs.
- Healthcare experience or certification is highly preferred.
Required Technical Proficiency (Mandatory)
Applicants must demonstrate advanced proficiency with Google Workspace. This position relies heavily on Google applications daily, and applicants will be tested during the interview process.
