Position Title: Laboratory Sample Administrator

The Laboratory Sample Administrator is responsible for the inspection, receiving, and documentation of incoming samples according to standardized procedures and policies. They will assist in maintaining and organizing the inventory of stored samples within the laboratory, safe discarding of expired samples, disposal of laboratory waste, and stocking of laboratory supplies.
Primary duties and responsibilities include the following:
· Receive incoming samples, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to proper handling protocols.
· Perform sample login with acceptability review.
· Perform sample batching according to technical procedures.
· Maintain and organize inventory of stored samples within the laboratory.
· Discard expired samples following established procedures and guidelines.
· Properly dispose of chemical waste in compliance with safety guidelines.
· Stock laboratory supplies and report inventory to management.
· Scan and file laboratory sample records according to policies and procedures.
· Prepare batch QC for sample batches as part of the login and batching process.
· Maintain regular and reliable attendance as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities and scheduled hours of the position.
· Conduct all activities safely and efficiently.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The company is unable to provide employment visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
· Ability to read and understand written procedures, safety instructions, sample documentation, and laboratory records in English, and to communicate effectively in English as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position, including communication with laboratory clients.
· Proficiency with common computer applications such as email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Regularly move, lift, carry, or otherwise handle samples and containers weighing up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Occasionally move or handle items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Work in a laboratory setting with moderate noise levels around ambient noise from compressors, exhaust fans, and laboratory equipment.
· Work may involve periods of sitting and standing. Alternating between sitting and standing at will is available for some activities.
· Standing may be required while performing laboratory duties, including loading and unloading equipment, waste neutralization, or other activities.
· Work may require reaching above, at, and below shoulder level to retrieve supplies, samples, or documentation.
· Work involves fine and gross manipulation when handling laboratory samples, equipment, tools, and controls.
· Occasional crouching may be required when accessing or inspecting laboratory equipment or samples.
· Ability to detect and appropriately respond to equipment alarms and communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, suppliers, and regulatory personnel, with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Ability to inspect samples, identify conditions requiring additional processing, read handwritten and electronic records, and accurately use computer systems, with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and a laboratory coat, when working with chemicals and liquid samples, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay: $17 per hour
