We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Evening Custodian to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct detailed janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Carry out floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, and stripping to maintain optimal appearance and safety.
- Handle custodial responsibilities like replenishing supplies in restrooms and break areas to ensure continuous availability of essentials.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and facilities upkeep to support overall building operations.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Document completed tasks and report any facility issues or damages promptly to the appropriate management team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, and polishing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance practices.
- Prior porter or custodial experience preferred; ability to handle various cleaning equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize daily tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently during evening hours while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
