Job Title: Activity Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Symphony Manor Adult Home
Position Summary:
Symphony Manor Adult Home is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activity Assistant to join our team. The Activity Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning, organizing, and implementing engaging recreational and therapeutic activities that promote socialization, independence, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities-
Include but not limited to:
Assist in developing and implementing a monthly activity calendar tailored to resident interests and abilities
Lead and support group activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise, and social events
Provide one-on-one engagement for residents who may require individualized attention
Encourage resident participation while respecting personal preferences and limitations
Assist with decorating for seasonal events and special occasions
Escort residents to and from activities as needed
Maintain activity supplies and ensure a clean, organized activity space
Document participation and resident responses to activities in accordance with facility policies
Collaborate with other departments to support a positive and engaging environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, or working with older adults preferred
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Creativity and initiative in planning engaging activities
Must be reliable and flexible, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
