We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to administer advanced respiratory care, diagnostic testing, and pharmacological treatments under physician direction. In this role, you will play a critical part in patient assessment, ventilator management, and emergency response across acute care settings while working alongside a collaborative healthcare team.
Work Schedule & Highlights
- Shift: Full-Time | 36 hours per week (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM)
- Schedule: No Call & No Weekends!

Essential Functions
- Patient Care & Assessments: Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, monitor patient responses, and administer advanced respiratory treatments according to physician orders.
- Airway & Ventilator Management: Manage ventilator settings, perform airway maintenance, and ensure optimal patient comfort and safety during support.
- Diagnostic Testing & Arterial Blood Gases: Perform and document Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) punctures promptly and execute pulmonary diagnostic testing procedures as assigned.
- Clinical Collaboration: Assist physicians with bedside procedures, follow care protocols, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, leadership, and families.
- Emergency Response: Initiate appropriate interventions during critical and emergency situations using sound clinical judgment to stabilize patients.
- Patient Preparation & Education: Orient patients to care modalities prior to procedures to ensure cooperation, comfort, and positive outcomes.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to infection control guidelines, properly utilize PPE, verify patient identification, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Evaluate, maintain, and ensure the cleanliness and optimal functionality of all respiratory therapy equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, thorough, and timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation for all treatments and evaluations.
- Population-Specific Care: Apply age-specific considerations for oxygen therapy and care plans across all patient populations.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance while upholding facility policies and standards.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 1–3 years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficiency in diagnostic, pharmacological, and therapeutic respiratory care procedures.
- Proven skills in patient assessment, airway maintenance, and advanced ventilator management.
- Experience utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for documentation.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional healthcare collaboration.
- Solid understanding of infection control measures, clinical safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
