Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Acquisition Support Specialist to join our procurement and contract management team. In this vital role, you will assist in managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations, and supporting the acquisition process. Duties
- Support vendor management activities by maintaining accurate records of vendor information, performance metrics, and contractual obligations.
- Assist in document management processes, including review, organization, and secure storage of procurement-related documents.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), UCC law, and agency-specific policies through diligent review and monitoring.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, grants, and purchase agreements to ensure clarity and legal soundness.
- Manage records related to procurement activities, contract modifications, amendments, and grant documentation for audit readiness.
- Support procurement regulatory compliance efforts by conducting research on federal purchasing laws and assisting with change management initiatives.
- Use tools like DocuSign for electronic signatures and ERP systems for procurement processing to facilitate efficient workflows.
- Contribute to business development efforts by preparing proposals, pricing strategies, and strategic planning documents.
- Assist in grant project management tasks including tracking deliverables, reporting requirements, and grant compliance.
- Draft COR documentation such as COR Monthly Report, Quarterly Surveillance Report, and/or Contractor Performance Assessment Report (CPARS) and send to COR with applicable supporting documentation for final review and signature.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement processes within the government or medical contracting environments.
- Strong vendor management skills with the ability to evaluate supplier performance and manage contractor relationships effectively.
- Excellent document management capabilities with familiarity in legal drafting, contract review, and records management systems.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations such as FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations), UCC law, and government contract management standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with experience using Salesforce, PeopleSoft, ERP systems or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills combined with strategic planning abilities to support business development initiatives.
- Familiarity with grant management processes including proposal writing, grant tracking, and compliance monitoring.
- Strong research skills related to procurement laws and regulatory requirements; ability to interpret complex legal documents.
- Technical writing experience for preparing reports, proposals, or policy documents clearly and accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting findings clearly.
- A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience supporting the military or medical R&D
- A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
