Job Description:
We are looking for a Construction Layout Foreperson who establishes and performs the project requirements and layout with the assigned Operators, Engineers, Superintendent, and EQR support personnel. We have 30+ crews that work on projects in MD, VA, & DC. Our crews work year-round. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.
Job Requirements
- Jobs are located in various locations
- Valid driver license (not provisional) and reliable form of transportation to remote sites.
- Have the ability to safely operate large on-road vehicles with trailer.
- Meet DOT physical requirements.
- Pass EQR’s driving test.
- The ability to perform required pre/post trip inspections.
- Have the ability to operate equipment such as: track truck, skid steer, and mini excavator.
- Complete equipment check lists, or to ensure check lists are completed by crew.
- Must demonstrate the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to learn to operate layout equipment.
- Read, understand, and implement project documents (both internal and external).
- Ability to learn to lead a crew to complete an assigned task.
- Must have the ability to communicate human resource information to production manager and crew members in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Physical requirements include sitting (riding to job) (5%), standing, walking and lifting materials or equipment (95%).
- Requires manual dexterity of the hands and bending and twisting associated with heavy lifting.
- Requires lifting heavy materials and equipment and often requires working outside in the elements in all seasons and weather conditions.
- The body senses of sight (not color blind), hearing (safety), and verbal communication is required.
- The language is English in speech and is used in all drawings. This position must have the ability to comprehend and convey instructions in a clear manner to other field personnel, clients and superiors.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Manage and supervise construction crews, providing guidance and leadership on-site.
- Utilize construction management software for project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure construction meets industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly to maintain project progress.

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
