Our loans assist the predevelopment, construction and permanent phases of affordable housing, including housing with supportive services for those with special needs and extremely low incomes; childcare and early learning centers; charter public schools; nonprofit office and program delivery space; and various community economic development projects.
Leviticus is based in Tarrytown, New York (Westchester County). We welcome candidates in the Westchester/NYC metropolitan area and will consider candidates located outside of this region if they are able to work in a hybrid schedule with regular in-office days.
Why We Need You
The Leviticus Fund seeks a junior-level, Compliance & Impact (C&I) Associate to support meeting funder and CDFI certification reporting requirements, measuring and reporting mission-aligned impact, and promoting an organizational culture of learning. With an emphasis on data management, analysis, and visualization, this position will play a key role in helping the Leviticus Fund unlock greater value from its data especially as we continue to invest in the development and adoption of our Salesforce-based data management system. With the support of training and guidance by the Leviticus Fund team, this role provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen data management and analysis skills and acquire substantive experience supporting compliance and impact reporting within a mission-driven financial institution.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and aptitude in supporting the critical functions of data quality management. As a member of the Compliance & Impact team, this position will be of direct support to meeting funder and CDFI certification reporting commitments by helping to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and availability of required data. This position will also support ongoing efforts to strengthen the quality of organizational data across systems as well as major projects such as data migrations. These activities will help the Leviticus Fund achieve efficiencies in meeting our compliance obligations as well as deepen and enrich our measurement and management of impact, and help promote an organizational culture of curiosity, learning, and continuous improvement.
The C&I Associate will report to the Senior Director, Compliance & Impact and work closely with the Salesforce Business Analyst & IT Manager. The position will also collaborate with staff across the organization in areas of lending, portfolio management, resource development, marketing, and finance.
Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare data required for reports for internal and external stakeholders including funders, the CDFI Fund, the Leviticus Fund team members, and board members
- Contribute to proposals and reports by organizing data, synthesizing findings, and developing visualizations as needed
- Support the creation of short data-rich narratives summarizing project- and organization-level impact for proposals and reports
Data Management
- Support the collection, organization, merging, and cleaning of data from multiple platforms as well as critical processes such as data transformation (i.e. reformatting data to fit required structures), standardization, and validation
- Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues across platforms, documenting findings and recommending process improvements
- Support the Salesforce Business Analyst & IT Manager to advance the development and use of Salesforce, improve data quality, and complete major projects such as migrations
Data Analysis, Visualization, & Learning
- Support quantitative and qualitative analyses to respond to ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide data required for compliance and reporting and insights for leadership and staff
- Continuously improve data visualizations, moving beyond default chart types toward clear, audience-appropriate data storytelling
Qualifications & Attributes
Education, Experience & Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, public policy, finance, psychology, sociology or a related field; OR 2–3 years of direct experience in data management and analysis, impact measurement, data visualization, or a related area (in lieu of degree)
- Demonstrated ability to review compliance agreements and extract relevant data and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to clean and troubleshoot datasets from across multiple sources and platforms
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, including data management and reporting functions
- Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis and visualizations that go beyond default chart types
- Demonstrated ability to create dynamic and static dashboards that are clear, accurate, and useful to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of Excel, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and formula-based analysis a plus
Communication & Collaboration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill data into clear summaries and actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy and completeness
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams with different levels of data literacy
- Comfortable receiving and applying feedback; values continuous improvement and learning
- Intellectually curious, self-directed, and motivated by mission-driven work
CDFI & Mission Context - A Plus
- Experience working with Salesforce in a service-oriented organization
- Demonstrated understanding of—or strong interest in—nonprofit lending operations, compliance reporting, and the community development finance sector
- Familiarity with CDFI Fund certification and award reporting requirements
- Commitment to equitable and resident-centered impact measurement and evaluation
Compensation & Work Arrangement
Salary range: $62,000–$72,000, commensurate with experience.
Leviticus offers generous benefits, including a 2.5% employer match, plus 7.5% discretionary contribution to a 403(B) plan, plus annual paid time off beginning at 25 days per year, increasing by a PTO day each year of employment up to a total of 30 PTO days per year. The starting salary for the Compliance & Impact Associate will be commensurate with the alignment of an applicant’s experience with the job requirements. We negotiate actual salary with final candidates.
This is a hybrid position. We prefer candidates who can work in our Tarrytown, NY office up to three days per week. Fully remote candidates with exceptional qualifications will be considered.
