Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will support the HR department by managing various administrative functions, assisting with talent acquisition, employee onboarding, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. Duties
- Assist with recruitment processes, including job posting, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and maintaining applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Support new employee orientation and onboarding activities to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
- Maintain accurate employee records through data entry and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) management.
- Coordinate benefits administration, including enrollment processes and benefits inquiries.
- Contribute to employee relations efforts by supporting conflict management initiatives and fostering positive communication channels.
- Assist with performance management processes, including scheduling evaluations and tracking employee progress.
- Support compliance with employment laws such as FMLA, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation, and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports using Excel data analysis tools to support HR decision-making and strategic planning.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of human capital management practices and HR legal compliance standards.
- Experience with change management initiatives within HR departments or organizations.
- Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, UltiPro, or Oracle HCM.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff at all levels and external partners.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with employment & labor law, affirmative action planning, and workforce management strategies.
- Skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting using Excel or similar tools for HR analytics.
- Administrative experience supporting payroll processing via platforms like Paychex or ADP.
- Knowledge of social media management for employer branding initiatives is a plus.
