Finance Director – Multi-Store Automotive

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to oversee the Finance & Insurance operations for two automotive dealerships in California. This role is ideal for a highly analytical leader who enjoys building systems, developing people, improving performance, and ensuring operational excellence.
This is not simply a production-focused F&I role. We are looking for a strategic leader who can establish consistent processes, develop high-performing teams, strengthen compliance, improve funding efficiency, and drive long-term profitability across multiple locations.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support Finance Managers across two dealership locations
- Ensure compliance with all lender, dealership, state, and federal regulations
- Monitor funding performance, contracts in transit, chargebacks, and profitability
- Build and improve finance processes that increase efficiency and reduce risk
- Analyze key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop, coach, and mentor finance personnel
- Maintain strong lender relationships
- Partner with dealership leadership to improve operational performance
- Create accountability through reporting, audits, and performance management
What We're Looking For
- Proven automotive F&I leadership experience
- Multi-store experience preferred
- Ford dealership or Ford brand experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of dealership finance operations
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Analytical and data-driven decision maker
- Process-oriented leader who thrives on organization and structure
- Strong compliance mindset
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Ability to lead through accountability and consistency

Pay: $150,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
