We are seeking a candidate to fill the role of Sorority House Director.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and community-focused House Director to oversee daily operations of a collegiate chapter facility. This live-in role is responsible for ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for residents while coordinating with vendors, students, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Safety Management
- Maintain a safe and secure living environment for residents
- Conduct routine walkthroughs of the property (interior and exterior)
- Monitor and maintain safety systems (alarms, extinguishers, locks, etc.)
- Coordinate and document emergency procedures and drills
- Report maintenance or safety issues promptly
House Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations and upkeep
- Provide access to vendors for repairs and maintenance
- Track maintenance logs and service records
- Manage supplies, inventory, and household needs within budget
- Assist with minor upkeep and errands as needed
Resident Support & Community Environment
- Foster a positive, respectful, and home-like atmosphere
- Serve as a consistent, approachable adult presence in the home
- Promote cleanliness, shared responsibility, and respectful behavior
- Eat at least one meal daily with residents to build community
Move-In / Move-Out Coordination
- Prepare the facility for opening and closing periods
- Conduct room inspections and documentation with residents
- Assist with resident check-in/check-out processes
Food & Kitchen Oversight
- Oversee shared kitchen use and cleanliness
- Assist with occasional food coordination or small purchases
- Support chapter events or meal coordination as needed
Events & Chapter Support
- Be present during recruitment and key chapter activities
- Welcome guests, parents, and visitors
Compliance & Conduct
- Ensure adherence to house rules and university policies
- Document and report any incidents appropriately
- Partner with leadership on policy enforcement (non-disciplinary role)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management, hospitality, or residential life preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage vendors, students, and multiple priorities
- Comfortable with basic technology (email, spreadsheets, reporting tools)
- Ability to handle physical tasks (walking property, lifting, stairs, etc.)
- Must be able to live on-site and be on-call for urgent situations
Additional Details
- This is a live-in position with on-site residency required
- Regular availability is expected for resident support and operations
- No overnight guests permitted
