Hourly Pay: $16.84 – This is an hourly, non-benefit eligible, position not to exceed 1000 hours in a year. The position may have some flexibility in schedule.
Job Location: Division of Professional Registration, Central Investigations Unit, 3605 Missouri Boulevard, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109. This is an in-house position.

The Central Investigators Unit (CIU) supports over 25 licensing boards through investigative and inspection activities. This position offers a fast paced, collaborative environment where accuracy and professionalism are priorities.
The position will be responsible for processing incoming complaints, tracking responses, inspection and investigation assignments, and communicating verbally and in writing with complainants, licensees, and attorneys. This role requires organization, communication skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Prepare, process and maintain complaint files and enter them into the Division’s database.
- Draft and issue correspondence to licensees and attorneys.
- Assist investigators with record retrieval, case documentation, and report preparation.
- Respond to written and verbal inquiries regarding complaints and inspections.
- Communicate professionally with licensees, complainants, and the public.
Qualifications - All you need for success
What we are looking for:
Minimum Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in reviewing and processing official documents such as claims, applications or legal documentation
- (Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university in the areas of business or public administration may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience)
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
