Port experience a must!!! seeking a reliable and skilled class A Truck Driver to join my team.with 3years of verified experience the ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting containers safely and efficiently across designated routes to and from the Port of Baltimore. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage the loading and unloading of cargo. Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to company policies regarding safety practices and procedures.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL class A) with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving manual transmission/Automatic trucks is preferred.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading freight safely.
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation systems.
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is an advantage
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
