Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers / Home Care Aides (HCAs) to provide exceptional in-home and community-based care throughout the San Fernando Valley. The ideal candidate will support seniors and adults with varying care needs, including personal care, companionship, mobility support, and memory or dementia care when applicable. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by promoting independence, safety, and overall well-being through personalized care services.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders in accordance with the care plan and agency guidelines
- Observe and report changes in client condition or behavior to the care team
- Prepare meals based on client preferences and dietary needs
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility; use of gait belts or transfer equipment as applicable
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities to support emotional well-being
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Accurately document care activities in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies
- Follow established care plans and communicate effectively with the office and care team
- Accompany clients to appointments or errands when assigned
Requirements
- Prior experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or related settings preferred
- Active California HCA registration or ability to obtain
- Experience or familiarity with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory care is a plus
- Ability to work independently with strong patient observation skills and attention to detail
- Physical ability to assist with transfers, standing, and mobility as required by the client
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with strong communication skills
- Reliable transportation required; valid driver’s license preferred for certain assignments

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
