Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nursing home management, with a strong understanding of healthcare regulations, resident care, and team leadership. The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator will be responsible for managing operational functions, financial oversight, and maintaining high-quality care standards across the facility.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of nursing home operations, including resident care, staff management, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to residents’ individual needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care programs.
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, promoting a positive work environment while ensuring high performance standards.
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of long-term care regulations, health policies, and disability services requirements to ensure full compliance.
- Manage medication administration processes and ensure adherence to safety protocols for residents’ medication needs.
- Foster strong relationships with residents’ families by communicating effectively about care plans and facility updates.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks related to facility management.
- Ensure the facility adheres to health regulation policies while continuously improving quality of care through staff training and process enhancements.
Experience
- Proven management experience within nursing homes or senior living facilities with a focus on long-term care administration.
- Extensive background in nursing home or assisted living environments with specialized knowledge in Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams in healthcare settings.
- Strong understanding of healthcare financial management, including budgeting, billing, and resource planning.
- Familiarity with long-term care regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards at the state and federal levels.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized disability services is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for administrative reporting and documentation purposes.
- Leadership experience in residential or group home settings with a focus on senior or assisted living populations is preferred.
