Maintenance Specialist
IDC Inc. is a hospitality company based in Newport, RI with multiple venues, Including The Stone House Inn ( Little Compton, RI). We are looking for a Maintenance Specialist.
Basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and mechanical skills will be used in different capacities throughout the daytime and evening hours.
The ideal candidate possesses the necessary skills, is hands-on, flexible, identifies problems and works with well with others by using professional communication and critical thinking. Previous maintenance or related experience, hotel/inn experience is preferred.
Overview of Duties and Required Skills
- Perform general maintenance and basic repairs including, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, carpentry, and painting. Will be performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (examples: leaky faucets, unclog toilets, replace lightbulbs and care of other building fixtures.)
- Guest facing position, will be assisting guests with luggage and answering general property or area questions.
- Consistently conduct property walks insuring property is up to all appearance, cleanliness, mechanical and safety standards. Inspect and identify equipment in need of repairs. Check locks, security and alarm systems.
Job Type: Full-time: Days/Nights/Weekends and Weekdays (on call hours may apply at times)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
