Power BI Developer (Oracle Database / SQL / Data Mart) Job Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
WebHawkx is seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer with 15+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, enterprise reporting, and data visualization solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Database, SQL development, Data Mart architecture, ETL processes, and enterprise data modeling.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions by transforming complex data from Oracle databases and enterprise data sources into actionable insights. The role requires strong experience in data modeling, DAX development, Power Query, SQL optimization, data
integration, reporting automation, and data-driven decision support.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, database administrators, and technical teams to translate
business requirements into scalable BI solutions that improve operational visibility, performance monitoring, and strategic decision-making.
Essential Functions:
· Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power BI dashboards, reports, and enterprise analytics solutions.
· Develop advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data extraction processes using Oracle Database.
· Design and optimize Data Mart solutions, data warehouses, and analytical data models supporting enterprise reporting requirements.
· Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and business calculations within Power BI.
· Create efficient data models using:
o Star schema design
o Fact and dimension tables
o Data relationships
o Performance optimization techniques
· Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple enterprise systems.
· Integrate data from Oracle databases, SQL databases, enterprise applications, and other data sources into Power BI environments.
· Build interactive dashboards and reports using:
o Power BI Desktop
o Power BI Service
o Power Query (M Language)
o DAX
o Data visualization techniques
· Perform Power BI report optimization, including:
o Query performance tuning
o Data model optimization
o Report loading improvements
· Develop executive dashboards, operational reports, and KPI monitoring solutions.
· Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy.
· Support data governance initiatives including:
o Data quality management
o Metadata management
o Data documentation
o Standardized reporting practices
· Develop and maintain technical documentation including:
o Data dictionaries
o Report specifications
o Data models
o Dashboard documentation
· Support Power BI deployment activities including:
o Workspace management
o Dataset publishing
o Security configuration
o Report lifecycle management
Other Functions:
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
· Participate in requirements analysis, design discussions, and solution architecture activities.
· Provide recommendations for improving enterprise reporting processes and analytics capabilities.
· Support integration of business intelligence solutions with enterprise applications and databases.
· Assist with migration from legacy reporting platforms to modern BI solutions.
· Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers and analysts.
· Participate in Agile development activities, sprint planning, and project delivery efforts.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, s Abilities:
· Minimum 15 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Enterprise Reporting.
· Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI development.
· Advanced knowledge of:
o Power BI Desktop
o Power BI Service
o DAX
o Power Query (M)
o Data modeling
o Report optimization
· Strong experience with Oracle Database environments.
· Advanced SQL development skills including:
o Complex queries
o Stored procedures
o Views
o Data transformation

o Data Mart architecture
o Data warehouse concepts
o ETL/ELT processes
o Data integration
o Enterprise data modeling
· Experience developing enterprise dashboards and KPI reporting solutions.
· Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
· Ability to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable business insights.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Minimum Education s Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
· Minimum 15 years of professional experience developing business intelligence, reporting, and analytics solutions.
· Minimum 8+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.
· Extensive experience working with:
o Oracle databases
o SQL development
o Data marts
o Data modeling
o Enterprise analytics platforms
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and professional experience may be considered.
Additional Requirements:
· Ability to obtain and maintain required client access credentials, if applicable.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
· Experience supporting government, utility, engineering, or enterprise environments is preferred.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preference(s):
Preferred qualifications include:
· Experience with Microsoft data ecosystem including:
o Power BI Service
o Dataflows
o Gateways
o Row-Level Security (RLS)
o Azure data services
· Experience with:
o Oracle analytics environments
o Enterprise data warehouses
o Data governance programs
o Metadata management
· Experience with GIS or spatial analytics platforms such as ESRI ArcGIS is a plus.
· Experience supporting infrastructure, utilities, engineering, or government programs is preferred.
· Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification preferred.
· Experience with SSAS, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar ETL technologies is a plus.
