Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, along with experience in meal preparation and food safety practices. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste, presentation, and nutrition. The Cook will work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Assist with catering events as needed, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
- Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring precision and safety.
- Collaborate with dietary aides to accommodate special dietary needs or preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages.
- Participate in menu planning and development to enhance the culinary offerings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that meet customer expectations.
- Certification in Food Handling or Safety is a plus but not required.

Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour
