Elite Finishes is a leading commercial painting contractor specializing in large-scale, high-rise projects. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team.
This is a key role within our organization, responsible for preparing, organizing, and delivering competitive proposals that help us win business. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and is committed to delivering accurate estimates that contribute to the successful execution of complex commercial painting projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for commercial painting projects, including large-scale and high-rise buildings.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and trade partners to ensure complete and accurate proposals.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions.
- Prepare organized, competitive bid packages and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information to improve future estimates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience estimating commercial construction projects, with high-rise experience preferred.
- Commercial painting estimating experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and estimating principles.
- Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- High level of initiative, ownership, and personal accountability.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
