Starting in May and continuing through August, all staff working any weekend shift (Saturdays & Sundays) will receive $2 per hour extra pay called Weekend Gratitude, then September 1 - September 30 you will receive $2 per hour for any shift on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. October 1 - October 31 the Weekend Gratitude is $3 per hour. This will be paid the following month on a separate check. Half our business occurs on the weekend – that’s when you are most needed and most valuable to Young’s. Weekend Gratitude is a thank you for being here on the weekends and helping our Guests have a great visit.
Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years of age; 18 for wagon drivers
Experience:
Prior service experience is a plus, not a requirement. Basic math skills required. Should have some experience in hospitality and be able to handle a potentially unsatisfied guest.
Physical:
Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to five hours in length. Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift crates of balls and trays frequently weighing up to 40 pounds. Employees at Udders & Putters will constantly work in outdoor weather conditions.
Responsibilities:

Operate the cash register and process guest orders.

Washes and portions range golf balls

Keeps workstations clean and sanitary

Know how to handle unhappy customers.

Make sales and handle change / tokens at the batting cage.

Observe customers and equipment operation at the batting cage and then take appropriate action if needed.

Observe customers at the driving range and take appropriate action if needed. (i.e. repairs, correction of inappropriate customer behavior etc. )

Keep driving range matted tee, grass tee area, and batting cage area neat and clean. (Pick up trash, empty buckets, bats, helmets, etc.)

Complete all other assigned tasks.

Completes other related tasks as assigned.
Young's is a working dairy farm with a restaurant, homemade ice cream, farmstead cheese, miniature golf, driving range, batting cages, an animal petting area, watch us milk the cows daily and plenty of fun events throughout the year!
We are open year-round. Our busy season starts in April and ends in late October. It takes about 300 employees to keep Young’s going during this busy time of year. Most of our workforce is in high school or college and tend to stay with us for 2-3 years as they complete school. We have a core group of about 80 full time Staff; many have worked with us for 20 plus years. We are blessed with a great Staff who work hard to create great Guest experiences. A dozen of our workforce, by the way, are Young family members.
