American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT Technologist for weekend night shifts at a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center, requiring a minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting.

CT department within a 500-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
-
Patient population includes ER and inpatient cases, with a focus on stroke and trauma
-
Uses GE CT scanners, power injectors, and Vitrea post-processing workstations
-
EMR systems include Epic, Visage, Vitrea, and Medicalis
-
3x12-hour weekend overnight shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Float requirements as determined by facility policy

Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience in a hospital setting
-
ARRT registration in both Radiography and CT required
-
BLS certification from AHA required
-
Experience with stroke and trauma cases required

Proficiency with CT scanners, power injectors, PACS, HIS/RIS, QC workstations, and computers
-
Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, 3D imaging, and post-processing techniques
-
Must be able to lift, move, and transport patients, and stand and walk for extended periods

Must be able to adapt to stressful and emergent situations

Valid U.S. Social Security Number required — Canadian SINs are not accepted

License required if applicable
-
No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Performs diagnostic CT scans independently, including all post-processing on Vitrea workstations and necessary QC workstation functions

Responsible for patient transport as needed and consistent application of universal precautions and appropriate PPE

Orientation for night shift is conducted on day shift; candidates must be available for the full orientation week

Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required for travelers working between November 1 and April 1 — declinations are not accepted

Black scrubs required; no other scrub colors are accepted

Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted but must be made up during the assignment
-
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
-
Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
