Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them to their seats efficiently.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to streamline guest flow.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism via phone and in person, ensuring clear communication and guest satisfaction.
- Process payments accurately at the cashier station, including cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to promote a welcoming environment.
- Assist in coordinating seating arrangements during busy periods to optimize table turnover and reduce wait times.
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall guest experience.
Experience
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions efficiently.
- Experience in hospitality or hotel environments is a plus, especially in guest services or serving roles.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest relations strategies.
