We are seeking to hire a Day Supervisor. You will be responsible for supporting the Account Manager in overseeing daily janitorial operations, ensuring high-quality cleaning services, maintaining customer satisfaction, and leading frontline team members. This role requires a hands-on approach, actively working alongside staff to ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, and efficient service delivery. The Day Supervisor serves as a key liaison between employees, customers, and management while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Assist the Account Manager with the daily management of janitorial operations.
Provide hands-on leadership by working alongside staff and assisting with cleaning duties as needed.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure facility cleanliness and compliance with company and customer standards.
Monitor work schedules, staffing levels, and task completion to ensure operational efficiency.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain service quality.
Customer Service & Client Relations
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and facility occupants.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests, concerns, and service issues.
Conduct regular customer follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and address opportunities for improvement.
Support the Account Manager in maintaining contractual service requirements and customer expectations.
Represent the company professionally and promote a customer-focused culture.
Leadership & Team Building
Supervise, coach, and motivate janitorial staff to achieve performance objectives.
Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive work culture.
Assist with employee onboarding, training, and ongoing development.
Recognize employee achievements and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
Lead by example through professionalism, work ethic, and adherence to company standards.
Communication & Coordination
Maintain clear and effective communication with employees, customers, and management.
Conduct shift meetings and communicate operational updates, expectations, and safety information.
Document and report operational issues, corrective actions, and employee performance concerns.
Collaborate with the Account Manager and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Problem Solving & Quality Assurance
Proactively identify service issues and implement timely corrective actions.
Investigate customer complaints and employee concerns, providing effective resolutions.
Monitor quality assurance programs and ensure consistent service delivery.
Make informed decisions in fast-paced environments while maintaining customer satisfaction and operational standards.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.
Conduct safety observations and promote safe work practices.
Report accidents, incidents, and hazards promptly and accurately.
Assist in maintaining regulatory and site-specific compliance requirements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous janitorial, custodial, or facility services experience required.
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of janitorial equipment, cleaning procedures, and safety practices.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and reporting tools.

Benefits:
Full Time
Pay rate: $22.00/hr
Hours: 40 hrs/week, 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
