Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor vital signs, document patient conditions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and report changes promptly to supervising medical staff
- Administer medications and injections following strict protocols and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality policies
- Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health management
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, sterile techniques, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support (BLS) procedures like CPR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency room, trauma centers (Level I & II), and surgical units to ensure comprehensive patient assessment and care planning
- Maintain infection control standards through proper hand hygiene, equipment sterilization, and adherence to long-term care regulations
Requirements
- Valid certification as a CNA, HHA, RN, LPN or relevant caregiving credential; active license or registration as required by state law
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized assistance
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations, vital sign assessments, medication administration including injections and venipuncture
- Critical care experience preferred—such as ICU or emergency medicine—along with experience in long-term care facilities or skilled nursing settings
- Strong communication skills for effective caregiver-client interaction and team collaboration; understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including lifting with Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; basic first aid knowledge required

Pay: $23.00 - $40.75 per hour
