Job Summary: To transport goods and materials over the road from one location to another
Essential Functions:
Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:

Pick up and deliver items from one plant to another.

Load and unload fabric bins and racks, yarn, recirculating pallets, etc. at various locations.

Ensure that items get to their respective destinations.

Notify Supervisor of any maintenance problems with the truck, or any traffic issues or incidents that occur.

Perform any other task assigned to you by your supervisor.

Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.
-
Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.

Meet deadlines and production quotas.
-
Get along with co-workers.
-
Follow instructions.
-
Work scheduled overtime.
Safety:
-
Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.

Wear any required protective gear that a location or task requires.
-
Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
-
Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
-
Perform daily DOT pre-trip inspection.
- Report any accidents or damage to vehicles to Supervisor IMMEDIATELY.
Qualifications:
-
Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
-
Good physical condition – heavy lifting required.
-
Forklift license, Pallet Truck license if applicable.

Must be willing to work seven days per week as necessary.

Must meet all DOT requirements for the job.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License .

One year truck driving experience required

Must pass the road test.
- Must pass DOT physical.

Must be safety oriented with good driving record.
-
Good, verifiable employment background with good work history (at least three years).
