The Host(ess) is responsible for providing outstanding customer service when guests arrive to the restaurant. This position is also responsible for taking and confirming restaurant reservations and maintaining dining room organization during all meal services.

Essential Job Functions

Seat all guests in a professional and courteous manner

Use necessary computer programs to book reservations

Organize the host(ess) stand and make sure all menus and silverware are prepared for service

Analyze the table layout to maximize server efficiency during service

Answer telephone to book, confirm, or edit reservations

Build relationships with restaurant guests to ensure customer satisfaction

Work with back of the house staff to communicate guest needs if required

Answer general questions about the restaurant from facility guests to encourage bookings

Adjust table set-up as needed to accommodate large parties
-
Complete basic cleaning and vacuuming of immediate area

Basic Qualifications

17 years of age or older

Dependable transportation to and from work

Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
- Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessary

Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed

Authorized to work in the United States

Previous experience in a restaurant or in a customer service role

Highly dependable with a history of consistent attendance and punctuality
