Duties
- Prepare a variety of food items with precision, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions, perform basic math calculations, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity.
- Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing guest inquiries promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to food handling regulations.
- Assist with food prep tasks including slicing, assembling, and packaging food items for quick service environments like cafes or fast-food outlets.
- Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple responsibilities such as serving customers, food preparation, and cashiering seamlessly.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or a quick-service restaurant environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry will help you excel in food preparation tasks.
- Strong time management skills to handle fast-paced shifts efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service with a friendly attitude.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math scenarios like grocery store transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential.
- Experience working in retail or grocery settings can be beneficial for understanding inventory management and serving customers effectively.
