POSITION TITLE: General Laborer
I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position may include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machinery.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Observe equipment operation so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operator of any malfunctions.
- Lift raw materials finished products and packed items manually or using hoists.
- Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
- Mark or tag identification on parts.
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
- Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill such as supplying or holding materials or tools or cleaning work areas and equipment.
- Record information such as the number of products tested, meter readings or dates and time of production.
- Cleaning and maintaining work spaces organization.
- Ensuring safe and clear work environment is maintained
- Mow, weed eat and spray grounds
III. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Some experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
- Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing work.
- Ability to work in a team environment and have a desire to assist in various duties and departments as needed.
- Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen.
